West Ham United vs Fulham scoreline predicted by Stan Collymore amid ‘interesting’ development
Stan Collymore has predicted West Ham will come out on top in this weekend’s Premier League showdown with Fulham.
The Irons switch focus back to domestic matters on Sunday (14 April) on the back of losing to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League.
United are nine points better off than Fulham ahead of the clash at London Stadium, where Collymore can see the hosts prevailing.
Speaking on talkSPORT [12 April], Collymore said: “The Hammers are unbeaten in their last 12 [at home] against the Cottagers.
“Fulham demolished West Ham at Craven Cottage, so they’ll be looking for a first double since the 1965-66 season.
“There’s no clean sheet in 12 for West Ham, while Fulham have failed to score in 11 different games.
“They’ve also got the two oldest starting XIs, which is interesting. I’ll go for West Ham to win it. They’ll be miffed they didn’t get something against Leverkusen. I’ll go 2-1.”
West Ham vs Fulham head-to-head record
Just to clarify what Collymore said, the Irons are unbeaten in their past 12 Premier League home games with Fulham since their first such encounter in 2001.
That includes a run of five successive victories, scoring three goals in four of those games. This is therefore a good fixture on the face of it for United as they look to recover from the Leverkusen setback.
David Moyes will undoubtedly have an eye on that second leg next Thursday (18 April), but picking up points at home to Fulham is also important.

The Cottagers are not exactly in great form, having taken just one point from their past three games, during which time they have conceded seven goals.
While the Europa League is undoubtedly the priority over the next five days, it is important United do not let their Premier League campaign fade away.
And regardless of the injuries, this seems an ideal game to make it back-to-back victories in the league ahead of the huge showdown with Bayer.
In other West Ham news, Moyes’ future may have become clearer amid a transfer update that emerged this week.
