West Ham United: Robbie Savage stunned by ‘magnificent’ Mohammed Kudus moment in win v Freiburg
West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus scored one of the best goals the London Stadium is going to see.
That is according to TNT Sports pundit Robbie Savage, referencing the attacker’s first goal against Freiburg on Thursday (14 March).
Kudus netted twice in the 5-0 win at the London Stadium, with Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Cresswell also on target as the Hammers won 5-1 on aggregate, having lost the first leg 1-0.
“Wow! What a goal that is,” Savage said on TNT Sports 1 (7.21pm, 14 March). “That is absolutely magnificent.
“Look where he picks the ball up, that little touch, then the drive, the burst past, then a little movement there, and then it’s one versus one, goes past his man and the finish on his right foot. That is one of the best goals this stadium will see. It is brilliant.”

It really was a special goal from Kudus, who tore through his opponents before expertly slotting the ball home.
Remarkably, the winger doubled his tally with another superb strike just eight minutes later, in what was his club’s fifth and final goal of the night.
He was denied the chance of a hat-trick having been withdrawn by manager David Moyes shortly after, but the attacker was then treated to a deserved standing ovation from the Hammers faithful.
Kudus was just one of a number of players who lit up the London Stadium, in what threatened to be a tricky clash for the men in claret and blue.
But a lightning-quick start, generated thanks to an attacking XI from the home boss, ensured any nerves were quickly put to bed.

Hammers fans will be absolutely thrilled with the result, but it may just leave many wondering why they cannot produce such an attacking display every week, regardless of the opponent.
