West Ham: Sky Sports pundit wowed by Lukasz Fabianski after ‘unbelievable’ Fulham moment
Sky Sports pundit Michael Brown was wowed by a “brilliant” save from Lukasz Fabianski after an “unbelievable” chance for Fulham at the London Stadium.
The Cottagers were already in front in Sunday’s (14 April) contest through Andreas Pereira’s opener and Alex Iwobi had a great chance to double the lead after the break.
But veteran keeper Fabianski got down to make the stop and former Fulham midfielder Brown was impressed by what he saw.
Speaking on Sky Sports News’ Soccer Special (14 April), Brown said: “It’s Fulham who had an unbelievable chance, Willian again causing problems down that left flank, runs forward puts it on a plate for Iwobi, he’s got to score he tries to side-foot it past Fabianski, brilliant save down to the right-hand side. Should be Fulham 2-0 but just didn’t take that opportunity.”
West Ham disappoint despite Lukasz Fabianski moment
Just a few days on from losing their Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie 2-0 at Bayer Leverkusen, the Hammers were looking to get back to winning ways on home soil in the Premier League.
But it was another afternoon to forget for David Moyes and his side as the Cottagers ran out 2-0 victors over their London rivals through Pereira’s double to really pile the misery on the Hammers faithful.

Fabianski did his bit by keeping out Iwobi’s opportunity and Fulham had chances to do even more damage in an afternoon to forget for West Ham, but the veteran goalkeeper did not do enough.
It will really crank the pressure up on Moyes, who has been under increasing pressure from certain sections of the Irons fanbase who are growing frustrated with a pragmatic and often docile style of play. This game will have done nothing to help his cause.
