West Ham player ratings vs Arsenal: 4/10 awful, Aaron Wan-Bissaka shining light
West Ham fell to a 2-0 defeat against Arsenal on Saturday in Nuno Espirito Santo’s second game in charge.
Expectations were high at the Emirates Stadium after Nuno guided West Ham to a hard-earned 1-1 draw with Everton last time out.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka replaced Kyle Walker-Peters for the game after the wingback missed the previous two due to a stomach issue.
The Hammers failed to keep their second clean sheet of the season against the Gunners, with little improvement shown from Nuno’s side.
Plenty of blame for the lack of attacking output can be placed on the shoulders of Niclas Fullkrug, as West Ham Zone rates each player’s performance out of 10.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka shines vs Arsenal
The Irons failed to manage a third result at the Emirates in as many matches in the 2-0 loss to Arsenal.
Wan-Bissaka was poor against Chelsea earlier in the season, but has shown in the past that he can add defensive stability for the Hammers.
Despite the loss, Wan-Bissaka dealt with the threats of Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori well, with the pair not having a sniff.

Wan-Bissaka combined well with Jarrod Bowen down the right-hand side.
His performance against the Gunners showed that he deserves to keep his place after Walker-Peters struggled to deal with Jack Grealish on Monday evening.
Niclas Fullkrug awful vs Arsenal
For much of the first half, the Hammers were camped on the edge of their box in need of an outlet.
So far, Fullkrug has been favoured over Callum Wilson, but he could be set to lose his place in the side after his performance against the Gunners.
The Germany international will have started to hold the ball up in attack and allow the Hammers to get support up to him.
Despite his strong frame, the 32-year-old struggled to do so and offered no pace up top.
In a game where West Ham were without most of the ball, they needed someone to allow them to transition between defence and attack, and Fullkrug failed to do so.
The Irons had just five touches inside Mikel Arteta’s side box in the first half, and things didn’t improve in the last 45 minutes.
