West Ham new signings mooted on MOTD after what Gary Lineker said about Potter
Graham Potter has struggled to turn around West Ham’s fortunes since replacing Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers have won just three of the 12 matches under the former Chelsea boss since he took the reins at the London Stadium in January.
The Irons looked set to record a first victory since 27 February against Bournemouth on Saturday (5 April) as second-half goals from Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen cancelled out Evanlison’s opener.
However, the Brazilian struck again with ten minutes to play to consign the East London outfit to more dropped points.

Danny Murphy moots busy summer for West Ham
Potter looks set to overhaul West Ham’s squad in the summer after a dismal summer window under Lopetegui and Tim Steidten.
Many Hammers players are fighting for their future at the London Stadium beyond the end of the season and Danny Murphy believes there will be significant business.
Speaking on Match of the Day (5 April, 23:16 pm), Gary Lineker asked: “What about Potter’s half-term report, no magic wand but overall, can you see change?”
Murphy replied, saying: “A little bit yeah, I’ve seen them live a couple of times, they are trying to play a bit more more football and be more attacking.
“We’ve got to give him some time to bring in the players he wants, there has been some highs, some lows but let’s just hold judgement.
“I expect him to do a bit of business in the summer and see a different West Ham next season.”

West Ham need to put this season behind them
Hammers supporters will be glad to see the back of this season once it is over.
It has been a dismal campaign and the Irons find themselves in 15th place in the Premier League table and have been eliminated from both domestic cups.
Premier League | Played | GD | Points |
14. Everton | 31 | -5 | 35 |
15. West Ham | 31 | -17 | 35 |
16.Tottenham | 30 | +11 | 34 |
That position will not be celebrated by the former Chelsea man has stabilised the club and they are no longer in relegtion danger as looked set to be the case in the early stages under Lopetegui.
David Sullivan needs to back Potter with significant funds in the summer window as the job on his hands is huge, given that the squad is nowhere near good enough to compete in the top half of the table where the ex-Brighton man wants them to be.
If they get it right, it could take them a lot closer to European qualification and given Potter’s history with the Seagulls, where he built a team that was much greater than the sum of it’s parts, it should be an exciting summer at the London Stadium with plenty of business to be done.
