West Ham expect UEFA Conference League clash v Silkeborg to go ahead
West Ham are reportedly expecting their UEFA Conference League clash on Thursday v Silkeborg to go ahead despite the Queen’s passing.
According to SixFootTwo journalist Sean Whetstone, despite the postponement of domestic games in the United Kingdom, the European schedule is unlikely to be disrupted.
The Hammers have been given an allocation of 760 seats in the 10,000 capacity stadium with the game now going ahead.

Whetstone wrote, “Privately ticket office sources are saying they fully expect the game to go ahead and do not expect the postponement seen in Premier League games after the passing of the Queen on Thursday.”
Good news
The Hammers played on last Thursday as well and are likely to continue their European journey next week.
The Premier League had a chance to go ahead over this weekend like other sports did and pay their tributes before the game kicked off.
However, they did not choose to go down that route and next week’s game also seems to be in doubt.
At least West Ham fans will have some football to talk about and watch as they will be cheering their side on in Europe.
The Hammers are one of the favourites to win the Conference League and there’s a good chance that David Moyes puts all his eggs in this basket.
His side have started the campaign woefully and that means that finishing in the Europa League spots is going to be extremely difficult.
