View: Predicted West Ham XI vs Newcastle
West Ham will look to cement their top-four credentials when they take on Newcastle on Saturday in the Premier League.
The Hammers are on the back of two 3-2 wins over Leicester and Wolves and confidence will be sky-high inside the dressing room.
Jesse Lingard has enjoyed a phenomenal start to life at the London Stadium, and he’ll be looking to carry on firing on all cylinders in this contest.
At West Ham Zone, we have predicted our XI to take on Newcastle on Saturday…
The ever-reliant Lukasz Fabianski has played in all but two of our games this season and is set to retain his place between the sticks.
Defensively is where one change is expected to come in. Aaron Creswell, who has been doing well lately, has a hamstring niggle and we’re expecting him to miss out. Arthur Masuaku will play in a withdrawn position at left-back with the omnipresent duo of Craig Dawson and Issa Diop to his right. Vladimir Coufal is expected to retain his place at right-back.
Mark Noble sustained a bad injury vs Leicester, according to Moyes and he’s expected to miss out. With no Declan Rice either, Pablo Fornals may be asked to play in a deeper midfield position alongside Tomas Soucek.
With Fornals moving into midfield, Manuel Lanzini can take his position down the right flank for only his fourth league start this term, while summer signing Said Benrahma who’s enjoyed a stop-start campaign will look to steal the spotlight from the left wing. Jesse Lingard will play in his preferred number 10 position.
After grabbing a goal and assist in his last outing Jarrod Bowen will continue to lead the line for the Hammers – making it a fluid attack – hoping to cause Newcastle problems who are likely to sit deep.
