Tony Gale slams Angelo Ogbonna reaction in West Ham win v Fulham

Tony Gale has slammed West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna for his reaction to being taken off in the 1-0 win against Fulham.

The Irons enforcer was taken off in the second-half after pulling up in a challenge, and was replaced by Issa Diop at the London Stadium.

Ogbonna stormed down the tunnel, but not before throwing his gloves down to the floor in a fit of rage – not what we have come to expect from him.

Gale destroyed Ogbonna, claiming that his attitude is nowhere near good enough and his decision to snub Diop was even worst.

“That’s bad attitude from Ogbonna for me,” he told Claret and Hugh.

“I don’t like that at all. I don’t understand that. He’s clearly injured and has to come off. But to not acknowledge the guy coming on and wish him luck is poor.”

It appears as though that Ogbonna has been saved from the wrath of Gale and others, with the reasoning behind his response being revealed.

Ogbonna has recently earned a call-up back into the Italian international set-up, and this recent blow could have hampered that.

The 32-year-old is said to have been infuriated over his chances of missing out, although Claret and Hugh claim the problem isn’t too bad.

Ogbonna is anxious over the wait to find out if the injury could keep him out of action for Italy, after making only one appearance in two years for his country.

Moyes will have had a word with his defender, and Ogbonna will surely move on from this as soon as possible with his fingers crossed.
