TNT Sports pundit stunned by ‘terrific’ Mohammed Kudus moment in first half of West Ham United v SC Freiburg
TNT Sports pundit Lucy Ward was stunned by Mohammed Kudus’s goal for West Ham United against SC Freiburg.
The attacker, who joined the Hammers in the summer from Ajax, netted in the 14th minute of the match on Thursday (14 December).
The East London club were hosting the Bundesliga outfit in Europa League group stage action at the London Stadium.

“Brilliant movement from Kudus,” Ward said live on TNT Sports 1 (8.15pm, 14 December). “Certainly a terrific finish in the end.
“You can see Kudus make his run, they try and play him offside but he’s not offside. The problem you’ve got is when you play a high line like Freiburg did there you’ve got to have pressure on the ball, and it didn’t happen. It just allows West Ham to get in far too easily.”

Top spot incoming?
The Hammers welcomed Freiburg to the London Stadium with plenty to play for, with both clubs going into the match level on 12 points.
The pair had both picked up four wins and suffered one loss from their five games, although it was the Germans who had the much superior goal difference. They banged in 17 goals and conceded five times, with the Hammers scoring eight goals and conceding four times.
But despite that better goal difference, it was the East London outfit who went into the final round of fixtures sitting top of Group A, having defeated Freiburg 2-1 in Germany back in October.
That scenario means David Moyes’s side will reach the Europa League round of 16 as group winners if they avoid defeat at the London Stadium.
It’s been a strong showing from the Hammers once again in Europe in terms of results, and Moyes will be very keen to finish this stage on a high.
In other West Ham news, a journalist has made a Hammers transfer prediction as a Moyes “issue” is highlighted.
