Tim Sherwood drools over West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen v Leeds
Tim Sherwood has showered heaps of praise on Jarrod Bowen after West Ham lost 2-3 against Leeds United on Sunday (16 January) in the Premier League clash.
Bowen is currently enjoying a rich vein of form and scored the first goal for the Hammers.
Pablo Fornals scored the other goal for the home side, but Leeds sealed all three points, courtesy of a hat-trick from Jack Harrison.
Sherwood said to Premier League Tv production: “Jarrod Bowen is on a streak. An in-form man at the moment. Absolutely outstanding. He makes no mistake.”
Issues for Moyes
Bowen is in sensational form at the moment, and it would be really unfair on him if he doesn’t get a call-up to the national team.
He has scored five goals and three assists in his last seven games. His sharpness, movement, and ability to carry the team forward are at a different level.
However, there are issues for David Moyes.
The defence, irrespective of the imminent return of Kurt Zouma, needs bolstering this month and Moyes must sign a centre-back.
Are the Hammers getting too reliant on Bowen?
He has attempted as many as five shots during the game, compared to Michail Antonio who has managed just one, according to Whoscored.
However, Antonio did play out some good creative passes, but the onerous burden of scoring seems to have fallen on Bowen’s shoulder.
Some fresh energy is needed. West Ham have got a very good chance of getting into the top-four this season, and they should be winning games at home.
In other West Ham news, this PL target reportedly would fit into the wage structure in East London.
