Supercomputer predicts result of West Ham vs Liverpool in Premier League showdown

West Ham will struggle to claim all three points against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Hammers will host current title winners Liverpool at the London Stadium in the Premier League on 30 November.

Callum Wilson started for West Ham in their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last Saturday, as he continues to prove his fitness.

However, his brilliant brace wasn’t enough for the Hammers, who were overrun towards the end of the second half and had to leave with a point.

This mentality could pose an issue for Nuno Espirito Santo moving forward with their first test taking place at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Liverpool heavy favourites against West Ham

Leeds United’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa means West Ham will remain above the relegation zone in the Premier League for the time being.

However, the Hammers could find themselves in danger once more as Liverpool are the overwhelming favourites to win at the London Stadium, according to Opta’s Supercomputer.

Indeed, there is a 55.4 per cent chance that Arne Slot’s side claim all three points, while there is a 22.5 per cent chance that Nuno’s team remain on the right side of the table.

There is a 22.1 per cent chance that the game ends in a draw.

While the odds are not in Nuno will feel confident given both teams’ recent Premier League form.

Given that the game will be played on home turf, West Ham fans will likely fancy their chances.

Callum Wilson must have a good game

It was suggested that Wilson would become a key player for Nuno after West Ham’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle United, and the striker has more than lived up to expectations.

Indeed, the former Newcastle star has netted three goals in his last two Premier League games with performances that have made fans question why it took so long to start him consistently in the first place.

The Reds have conceded 11 goals in their last five league games, and there’s no doubt Wilson will be licking his lips in anticipation.

But with the stakes still so high and several Liverpool stars who could still cause damage, West Ham and Nuno will need Wilson to show up on Sunday.
