Steve McManaman thrilled by Manuel Lanzini interplay for West Ham v Genk
West Ham United heavily rotated their squad for this evening’s Europa League clash against Genk.
David Moyes brought in the likes of Manuel Lanzini, who has been in and out of the squad for the past few months at the London Stadium.
Steve McManaman was left thrilled by some of his linking play in the final third as the Irons pushed for the opener.

Speaking live on BT Sports, McManaman lavished praise on Lanzini for his role opening up the Belgians before Jarrod Bowen wasted a clear chance.
“That was the chance of the game, Bowen miss hits it,” he said. “Lovely play from West Ham and Manuel Lanzini.
“Jarrod Bowen completely mishits it, goes through his legs.”

Pushing.
Attacking midfield is probably one of those areas that is most contested now at the London Stadium.
Lanzini has gone from one of those guaranteed starters to an outsider in the past year, with transfers for the likes of Said Benrahma pushing him back.
The Argentine has even played in holding midfield when needed under Moyes, but he is always at his best when further forward and able to roam to get hold of the ball.
His interchanging play was superb in the final third when looking for the opener, and his pass to Ben Johnson, which then fell to Bowen should have resulted in just that.
More play such as this, and Lanzini will be trying to force his way into the Premier League side yet again sooner rather than later.
