Stan Collymore predicts Aston Villa v West Ham scoreline in Premier League showdown
Stan Collymore predicts West Ham to get “off the mark” in the Premier League this season by earning a point away at Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
David Moyes’ side are without a point after three matches and sit firmly at the bottom of the Premier League table.
Villa’s form has seen them win one and lose two of their opening games this season and Collymore feels it will be a 1-1 stalemate when the two clubs meet at Villa Park.

Writing for the Sunday People on 28 August (page 60), he said: “A muddy draw.
“Neither side are playing with confidence, but West Ham will finally get off the mark.”

Good result?
West Ham’s start to the Premier League season has been terrible.
The only team to not beat us so far this team is Viborg in the Europa Conference League but that’s hardly anything to shout home about.
Losing to Manchester City on the opening day was expected but suffering defeat at the hands of newly-promoted Nottingham Forest and being swept aside at home against Brighton is unacceptable.
David Moyes can keep making signing after signing but there are certain senior players already at the club who simply are not stepping up right now.
Villa have been pretty terrible this season.
While they beat Everton in their second game, they’ve lost to Bournemouth and Crystal Palace either side of that.
Many would have looked at their opening fixtures and said how easy they are but Steven Gerrard is struggling.
Both West Ham and Villa have high hopes for this season but it doesn’t look as though either club is capable of mounting a challenge for European spots right now.
It’ll be an interesting game on Sunday but would a draw be a good result for West Ham just to get the ball rolling?
We don’t think so. It’s time to start winning.
