Sky Sports pundit wowed by ‘world-class’ Declan Rice in West Ham United win v Bournemouth
West Ham captain Declan Rice is a world-class player, according to Sky Sports pundit Danny Cowley, after he impressed in the 4-0 win away at Bournemouth.
The Hammers skipper drove home a clean strike for his club’s third goal of the game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday (23 April).
It’s now goals in back-to-back games for Rice, who scored in West Ham’s 4-1 win against Gent on Thursday (20 April).

“Declan Rice, he’s like two players for West Ham,” said Cowley, as per Sky Sports Premier League. “He’s unbelievable, for me he’s world-class. And he’s starting to add goals to his came as well.
“It was poorly defended by Bournemouth, they got half a header, Rice was on the edge of the area, it comes out and on the half-volley, he hits it right foot leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.”
Outstanding player
Rice has once again been a standout for West Ham this season, with the midfielder continuing to impress game after game.
His likely summer exit will be a very painful one for all associated with the club, but importantly for those behind the scenes at West Ham, Rice’s value will continue to soar if he keeps up his current scoring run.
The midfielder is an expert in passing and tackling, but has often come under fire for his lack of goals, despite being a defensive midfielder.
But Rice has answered those critics with two very well-taken goals in his last two matches, showing he absolutely knows how to find the back of the net when presented with the opportunity.
The Hammers ran riot in the first half against Bournemouth, in what was a key signifier that their tails are up amid an impressive run of results both domestically and in Europe.
