Sky Sports pundit stunned by ‘outstanding’ Tomas Soucek moment in first half of West Ham United v Manchester City
Clinton Morrison was left stunned by an “outstanding” moment from West Ham ace Tomas Soucek in the first half of their clash with Manchester City.
The Hammers are hosting Pep Guardiola’s men in a Premier League clash at the London Stadium on Saturday (16 September).
Both clubs went into the match with unbeaten records so far this season, with the hosts winning three times and drawing once, and the visitors winning all four of their matches.

Manchester City went very close to opening the scoring in just the seventh minute of the match, but Rodri was denied by both Alphonse Areola and Soucek.
“The save is brilliant and the off-the-line moment from Soucek is outstanding,” Morrison said on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (16 September, 3.08pm).

Stunning blocks
Pretty much everyone watching on could not quite believe that Manchester City ace Rodri had not found the opening goal for his club.
The Spanish midfielder was first denied a header by a fine stop from Areola in the West Ham goal, before a fantastic on-the-line block from Soucek, who really was in the right place at the right time.
It was a classic goalmouth scramble, but the men in claret and blue defended heroically to keep the ball out of their net.
The determination will have really impressed manager David Moyes, who would have known going into the match that the visitors would be putting relentless pressure on his team.
Soucek has been a superb servant for the Hammers in recent years, both defensively and offensively, and it was the former area in which he was needed this time around.
The East London outfit have impressed against the defending champions so far, but must keep up these levels if they are to get something out of this important league clash.
In other West Ham news, a journalist believes the club are “stronger” without Declan Rice as “positive” early signs emerge.
