Sky Sports journalist wowed by ‘fantastic’ Mohammed Kudus in West Ham United v Crystal Palace as ‘key’ prediction made

Mohammed Kudus has settled into life at West Ham “seamlessly,” according to Sky Sports journalist Charlotte Marsh.

The Hammers ace scored his fifth goal for the club in their 1-1 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday (3 December).

Odsonne Edouard also netted at the London Stadium as Roy Hodgson’s side secured a point against David Moyes’s outfit.

West Ham

“The Ghana international has settled seamlessly into life at West Ham, influencing games in both attacking and defensive spaces,” Marsh wrote for Sky Sports (3 December). “He will be key as they enter one of their busiest periods of the season.”

The player also earned praise from his manager after the clash with Palace, with Moyes saying, as quoted by Sky Sports (3 December): “Kudus was fantastic, the best player on the pitch, especially on the attacking side. He was excellent today and we needed to get the ball to him quicker and have more opportunities to do so, but we didn’t quite do that.”

Standout player

Kudus was certainly the standout against Palace at the London Stadium, with the attacker quickly becoming a fan favourite in claret and blue.

His displays since joining from Ajax have been at a constantly impressive level, with the 23-year-old now simply undroppable under Moyes.

Kudus now has five goals from his 17 West Ham appearances, having scored four times for Ajax earlier this season before making the switch to England.

He missed the Europa League group stage clash with Backa Topola on Thursday (30 November) through illness, but recovered with a fine display against the Eagles.

The Hammers could not make their early lead count, however, and will be disappointed to have dropped points on home soil.

A win certainly would have given them the confidence needed for their very tricky trip to London rivals Tottenham on Thursday (7 December), with the hosts set to be buzzing after their late equaliser in the 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.

In other West Ham news, a Sky Sports pundit was stunned by what one Hammers ace did in the first half against Crystal Palace.
