Simon Jordan blasts West Ham as Kurt Zouma named in starting XI v Watford
Simon Jordan has blasted West Ham after Kurt Zouma was named in David Moyes’ starting line-up to play Watford tonight.
Ahead of playing the Hornets at the London Stadium [8 February], the Hammers confirmed on Twitter that Zouma, 27, keeps his spot in the heart of the defence despite being embroiled in controversy.
Via to the London Evening Standard, Essex Police are launching enquiries while working with the RSPCA after a video showing Zouma kicking a cat emerged online.

TalkSPORT host and ex-Crystal Palace owner Jordan doesn’t want to ‘cancel’ Zouma but he is absolutely baffled by Moyes’ decision to start him against Watford.
“Have to say I’m not in the demolish him camp. Consequences, yes. Ruination, no,” said Jordan via his personal Twitter account.
“But what are West Ham doing picking him tonight?
“Not sure they are reading the room right!”
What are they doing?
This is a farce of the highest order.
Zouma is currently on the police’s radar after a video seems to show him abusing one of his own animals.
In the video clip, that was brought to light by The Sun, Zouma is seen drop-kicking a defenceless little cat. He’s also shown to be hitting the cat in front of a child.
It’s disgusting and it drags the name of the club through the mud while at the same time, there’s a poor cat at Zouma’s house that seems to be getting abused by its owner.
Zouma should not be playing. But, yet again, football is the most important thing to these clubs who seem to have lost their moral compass – if they ever had one.
We’re not with West Ham on this at all.
Zouma needs to be punished. He cannot and should not be allowed to continue as normal.
In other West Ham news, Karren Brady has been in talks with an ex-ally over a major signing at the club.
