Nuno Espirito Santo looks doomed for sack as supercomputer predicts West Ham vs Brighton
West Ham United face Brighton at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening in their final game of 2025.
Nuno Espirito Santo comes into the contest under huge sack pressure, with his side firmly in the Premier League relegation zone.
Raul Jimenez scored the only goal as West Ham were beaten 1-0 by Fulham last Saturday, a result that keeps the Hammers five points adrift of safety.
The East London side will be desperate to close that gap with a win over Brighton but the supercomputer is predicting more misery for Nuno.
Brighton favourites for West Ham clash
West Ham come into the game off the back of three consecutive defeats, losing to Manchester City and Aston Villa before being beaten by Fulham.
The Hammers are also now seven matches without a win in the Premier League, and their chances of surviving relegation are diminishing by the week.
| Position | Team | Games | Points |
| 16 | Leeds | 18 | 20 |
| 17 | Nottingham Forest | 18 | 18 |
| 18 | West Ham | 18 | 13 |
| 19 | Burnley | 18 | 12 |
| 20 | Wolves | 18 | 2 |
Brighton are on a poor run of form themselves, losing three and drawing two of their last five.
However, the Opta Supercomputer is still predicting the Seagulls to secure all three points at the London Stadium, giving them a 46 per cent chance of victory.
West Ham have been given a 29.3 per cent shot at picking up the win, with the draw at 24.7 per cent.
Would Nuno be sacked by West Ham after Brighton loss?
If the supercomputer prediction does come true and Brighton subject West Ham to their fourth straight defeat on Tuesday evening, then Nuno would be in real danger.
The Portuguese manager has already lost a large portion of the Hammers fanbase, and the atmosphere around the London Stadium is growing toxic.
However, unless Nuno’s side are completely thrashed by Brighton, the likelihood is that the former Nottingham Forest boss will be given slightly longer to turn the situation around.
It does feel like a stay of execution at the moment for the 51-year-old though, and he will surely last only a few more weeks before being dismissed.

Slaven Bilic is available for West Ham and reportedly willing to come in until the end of the season, so David Sullivan has a ready-made replacement if he chooses to sack Nuno.
