Michael Brown raves about West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca v Wolves
Michael Brown has showered heaps of praise on Gianluca Scamacca after West Ham won 2-0 against Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday (1 October) at the London Stadium.
The Italian scored his first Premier League goal with a cracking effort from distance, while Jarrod Bowen added another to take the Hammers to 15th in the table.
Brown has hailed it as a “remarkable” finish. Scamacca scored with a superb half-volley into the top right corner in what was his second start in the Premier League since joining from Sassuolo.

“Talk about finishers of real quality! It falls to Scamacca, he takes a touch, just waits and delays. He hits the volley in the far right corner. It’s a remarkable finish,” said Brown on BBC Radio 5 Live, as relayed by BBC Sport on 1 October.
Pressure off
David Moyes was under pressure after the Hammers made a poor start to the season.
They desperately needed all three points against a struggling Wolves side, and they did it in style at home.
It was a much-improved performance from the Hammers. Thilo Kehrer started as a right-back, and he was outstanding during the game.

Bowen has struggled for form this season, and he was dropped from the squad by England manager Gareth Southgate against Germany.
It was arguably Bowen’s best performance of the season, and David Moyes will hope that he will only improve from here on. He was a perfect foil to Scamacca’s power and the duo linked up well at times.
The spotlight is back on Scamacca. The Italian striker scored 16 goals in the Serie A last season and the Hammers paid a big sum to sign him.
The Hammers managed only 39% of possession during the game, but they registered 18 shots.
