Kurt Zouma could be ready to feature for West Ham United v Eintracht Frankfurt - ExWHUemployee

West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma is hopeful of being selected for the Europa League semi-final with Eintracht Frankfurt.

That’s according to ExWHUemployee, who has shared that Craig Dawson is also available for the first leg at the London Stadium.

ExWHUemployee also shared that there are no other injury concerns to worry about ahead of the huge clash.

Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page prior to kick-off, Ex shared the big update on the Frenchman.

“Kurt Zouma made a welcome return to training last week and is hopeful of being available for selection for the team today,” he wrote.

“Craig Dawson is suspended for the league game against Arsenal but is available for today and there are no other reported injury concerns.”

This is excellent news and perfect timing.

With Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop also out, the last game you want to be using a makeshift defence is a semi-final of a major European competition.

Zouma returning early to partner Dawson will give us that solid base at the heart of defence to keep us solid throughout.

It also removes any doubts surrounding the likes of Declan Rice having to drop back and play in the back four.

Ex also shared that there is a big dilemma at right-back with Vladimir Coufal, Ben Johnson and Ryan Fredericks all pushing for a start.

Frankfurt may appear to be a favourable fixture on paper, but they travelled to Barcelona and smashed them to seal their spot in the semis.

It is time to get off to a cracking start in this one, and having Zouma available would surely help that.
