Karren Brady shares Olympiacos fan footage ahead of West Ham United clash

Karren Brady has shared a video displaying a banner held by the Olympiacos fans ahead of the Europa League clash with West Ham on Thursday 26 October.

The vice-chair of West Ham posted a short 10-second video showing panoramic views of the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, with the banner reading: “Tonight, you dine in hell.”

West Ham travelled to Athens having won just one of their last five Premier League matches, and it didn’t get any better in Greece as they fell to a 2-1 defeat.

Brady shared the clip on her personal Twitter account, with a sarcastic jibe to follow while showing the tifo displays from every single stand in the stadium.

“Nice welcome,” she wrote.

Moyes under pressure

If history was anything to go by, then David Moyes was up against it to get a result.

The last time he managed a team and took them to the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, his Manchester United side was beaten 2-0 in the 2013/14 Champions League round of 16 first leg.

A Robin Van Persie hat-trick turned the tie around three weeks later at Old Trafford to save his job, albeit only for another five weeks as he was sacked after just eight months in charge.

Just over nine-and-a-half years on, Moyes travelled to Athens again as a man under pressure, only to suffer the exact same outcome.

Despite doing a good job at the London Stadium over the last four years, Moyes now finds himself needing results to turn things around.

With Brady watching on from the stands and question marks already surrounding his future at the club, they may be about to get stronger in the coming days.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are now frustrated with a £10m player as a behind-the-scenes revelation has emerged from the London Stadium.
