Jeff Stelling mocks Sky Sports over West Ham howler as change swiftly made
West Ham were toothless again in their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Hammers have plenty of issues to contend with after thousands of fans lined the street prior to the game in protest against the owners.
Demonstration will continue to increase in the coming weeks, with West Ham fans wanting David Sullivan to step down as West Ham chairman after successive seasons in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Before kick-off, pundits on Sky Sports News were discussing the state of the Hammers when a blunder was made via social media.

Sky Sports News mocked by Jeff Stelling after spelling error
Graham Potter will likely be sacked by West Ham after an awful run of form.
The Hammers have conceded the most goals in the top flight, with 13, and have conceded three or more goals 21 times since January 2024.
Before West Ham’s defeat to Palace, Kris Boyd did not put his confidence in the Hammers when asked about them on Sky Sports News.
The Scotsman said: “It’s a difficult game that’s for sure, but you look at West Ham and you can lose games of football, but it’s the desire to stop teams from scoring. The fans have had enough of it.”
- West Ham have now conceded seven goals from corners
- The Hammers have conceded four more than any other team from set pieces
Sky Sports News tweeted the clip and captioned it “Chris Boyd reacts to West Ham’s poor start to the season, as fans protest before their match against Crystal Palace about the ownership of the club”.
Jeff Stelling replied with “Kris Boyd probably agrees” after the social media page initially spelled his name wrong.
The tweet has since been corrected to Kris Boyd.
Pundits starting to wake up to failures at West Ham
For months, David Sullivan has avoided criticism at West Ham for his failures over the last 18 months.
West Ham have a big decision to make on who will replace Potter, and the decision will either elevate protests or put a stop to them.
Former players and pundits are now waking up to the failures under Sullivan, from the move to the London Stadium to the regression of the team recently.
After winning just once in the top flight so far this season, relegation is looking a strong possibility for the Hammers.
