Jean-Clair Todibo immense, 3/10 can pack his bags – West Ham player ratings vs Fulham

West Ham suffered a 1-0 defeat against Fulham at the London Stadium.

Off the back of West Ham’s 3-0 defeat against Man City, the Hammers needed a response against Fulham, and they failed to achieve that.

The Irons lacked any attacking intensity, with a lot of that down to the fact that Nuno Espirito Santo opted against starting with a striker.

Their ability to progress up the pitch improved drastically when Callum Wilson was introduced, but nowhere near enough to change the outcome, with a late goal from Raul Jimenez proving to be the difference.

It’s now seven games without a win for West Ham, and that could be the end for Nuno Espirito Santo.

Jean-Clair Todibo proves his worth vs Fulham

In a game that was void of any real attacking quality for the most part, both sides stood relatively firm defensively.

For West Ham, Jean-Clair Todibo was at the heart of that, winning most of the duels and challenges that came his way.

The Frenchman was tidy on the ball and even looked to get forward when the chance emerged, albeit with one of those times resulting in a yellow card after a moment of petulance saw him kick the ball away.

He was comfortably the best defender on the pitch at the London Stadium, albeit without being tested beyond his limits.

Paqueta may have played final West Ham game

Paqueta has the ability to be a game-changer for West Ham, but against Fulham, he was anything but that, with yet another lacklustre performance.

The Brazilian gave the ball away far too many times, especially in the first half, while failing to offer anything from a creative aspect.

If West Ham are to avoid relegation this season, they need their big players to come up with the goods, and very rarely does Paqueta do that.

With the January transfer window approaching, there will undoubtedly be some interest in him, and now may be the perfect chance to take what they can and part ways with the midfielder.
