Jamie O’Hara dresses up as clown as he mocks West Ham over heavy defeat vs Tottenham

West Ham’s start to the season was made worse with a humiliating 3-0 home defeat against rivals Tottenham.

Graham Potter’s first full season at West Ham has gotten off to an awful start.

Following a shocking performance against Tottenham at the London Stadium, they’re third from bottom in the Premier League with three points from four games.

A few days before the match, West Ham fans had a chance to meet with the board to voice their frustrations.

But instead of West Ham banning half-and-half scarves against Spurs, efforts might have been better placed focusing on what’s going on with the management and coaching team.

Jaime O’Hara winds up West Ham fans following 3-0 loss

Before the international break, West Ham got their first win of the season against Nottingham Forest.

Mateus Fernandes, in particular, had an impressive debut in that game.

It seemed as if the season might have been reaching a turning point for the good and Potter’s team could look to kick on.

However, the heavy defeat against Spurs – and the shocking performance thay went with it – will have undone any hope built up and reignited the fan base in a negative way.

Former Spurs player and talkSPORT host Jaime O’Hara posted a photo of himself on X dressed as a clown to mock West Ham supporters.

While it may be a good day for Spurs fans like O’Hara, they had gone six years without winning at the London Stadium.

The only consolation for West Ham supporters during the game was probably that Mohammed Kudus did not score after his controversial transfer to Tottenham in the summer.

Where did it go wrong for West Ham?

West Ham looked incredible in their comfortable away win against Nottingham Forest, but they looked like a completely different team against Spurs.

The four at the back that worked so well for them at the City Ground let them down horribly.

The lack of speed between James Ward-Prowse and Tomáš Souček was evident, and going down to ten men following the Czech international’s sending off certainly did not help matters.

Tottenham played the game at their pace, and even at 3-0 down, West Ham showed little to no urgency to win the ball back and go forward.

Whether it is the manager or the players, being sat in the relegation zone is not going to have anyone at the club feeling at peace.
