Gary Neville predicts West Ham United vs Aston Villa result for Sky Sports
Gary Neville has predicted a disappointing loss for West Ham at Villa Park this weekend on the return from the international break.
The Sky Sports pundit has tipped the Hammers to fall to a 2-0 defeat in the Midlands in his weekly predictions on the broadcaster’s website on 19 October.
Aston Villa go into the game in fifth place but are currently just two points and two places ahead of David Moyes’ Hammers side.

West Ham drew 2-2 at home to Newcastle prior to the break while Villa also settled for a point after a 1-1 result at local rivals Wolves.
Tough
There is no doubt that a trip to face Unai Emery’s side these days isn’t easy but Moyes would have to be extremely disappointed with a result like Neville has predicted because, on paper, the two teams look relatively well matched.
Since the two Premier League defeats to Manchester City and Liverpool the Irons had put together three straight wins in all competitions before the battling draw against the Magpies.
This side is far from perfect but it looks to have overcome much of the disarray that plagued it for long stretches last term, and has a fight that should provide a decent chance for a result this weekend.

A late point against Champions League participants Newcastle, especially after Eddie Howe’s side had dispatched Paris Saint-Germain, was satisfying.
But, while Moyes might like to point to a strong win over Chelsea, this Irons team is still arguably looking for a statement result this season.
The win at Brighton also shows that it is surely in their locker but in order to build proper momentum there needs to be no stumble against Villa ahead of a stretch of winnable Premier League matches, and a win would set this side up perfectly for that.
In other West Ham news, a new contract offer has been ignored by a club and country star as the Irons could offer him far more.
