‘Evan Ferguson in West Ham transfer boost’ as David Sullivan update emerges
Evan Ferguson could be set for a summer transfer as David Sullivan made a boardroom alteration at West Ham.
The Republic of Ireland international completed a loan move to the London Stadium in the winter but has failed to properly establish himself.
The 20-year-old is yet to get on the scoresheet for the Hammers and was even an unused substitute in the draw against Bournemouth on Saturday (5 April).
Despite this, a permanent move could still be on the cards in the summer as a boardroom level change could have a telling impact.

Sullivan makes transfer change at West Ham
Previously, transfers were largely down to Tim Steidten, who played a key role in the most recent summer transfer window in East London.
Although some of the signings appeared to be positive, it is fair to say that the majority have failed and will likely be replaced in the summer.
With Graham Potter in charge, the side will have to be created in his image and that does now look more likely.
This is due to the fact that Sullivan looks set to take up the role of the defacto role of director of football with Potter and head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay set to have a “major input” on any dealings [West Ham Football, 6 April].
Without a true director of football, it could give the former Chelsea boss free reign to sign the sort of players he wants and Ferguson would certainly fit that mould.

Ferguson could sign on permanent deal in the summer
Although the young Irishman has been largely underwhelming this season, there is no doubt that he has excellent potential.
This could make him a wise addition for the Irons, especially looking ahead to Potter’s first full season in charge in East London.
The former Bohemians striker and Niclas Fullkrug would represent positive depth in the number nine role, especially if a cheap deal can be struck.
It will be interesting now to see if the Englishman wants his former Brighton ally at the London Stadium permanently and what sort of deals he will look to make happen in the summer.
