Danny Dyer speaks out about Jarrod Bowen chant from West Ham fans, Irons star reacts

Danny Dyer clearly doesn’t mind the West Ham fans’ chant about Jarrod Bowen after the forward played a star role in the 3-0 win over Lyon on Thursday night.

David Moyes’ men reached the Europa League semi-finals with a tremendous performance away in France as Craig Dawson, Declan Rice and Bowen got on the scoresheet.

After the game, actor Dyer took to his personal Instagram to share a picture of Bowen and post a hilarious response to the X-rated chant about his daughter Dani, who’s in a relationship with the 25-year-old Irons forward.

West Ham

“Jarrod Bowen is on fire….and he’s….cuddling me daughter or something,” said Dyer via his personal Instagram account on Thursday night [14 April].

“So proud. What a [expletive] night. Love to all the West Ham family.”

Bowen replied to Dyer’s post, clearly finding it funny while the actor’s daughter seemed a bit embarrassed.

Red-faced

At least Dyer doesn’t mind the chant – we can’t say the same about his daughter, though.

Bowen has been ridiculously good this season.

He’s easily a contender for the Premier League’s player of the season with the ex-Hull star scoring 15 goals and supplying 11 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.

The 25-year-old has netted nine of them and put in 10 of the assists in the Premier League so he’s got to be considered for a spot in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad later this year.

It’ll no doubt be tough for Bowen to be included but if West Ham win the Europa League and Bowen does well in the Champions League next season, it’s a no-brainer.

Bowen’s scored big goals this term.

He netted in both legs against Lyon while he’s also made the net ripple against Chelsea, Leicester and Everton in the Premier League and Tottenham in the FA Cup.

It would be a disgrace if someone like Marcus Rashford or Jadon Sancho is picked ahead of him based on the form he’s shown this season.
