Crysencio Summerville immense again, 5/10 way off it – West Ham player ratings vs Man United

West Ham United drew 1-1 with Manchester United at London Stadium with Benjamin Sesko’s late strike denying them a famous victory.

West Ham beat Burnley 2-0 last Saturday, and looked all set to make it two wins on the spin on Tuesday evening.

Tomas Soucek scored the opening goal of the evening, ghosting into the box and turning Jarrod Bowen’s cross past Senne Lammens and into the net.

Casemiro thought he had equalised for the Red Devils midway through the second period, but his header was ruled out for offside.

However, with just seconds remaining, Man United finally found a way through, substitute Sesko finishing brilliantly into the top corner.

Crysencio Summerville continues to shine

Crysencio Summerville has been absolutely vital to West Ham’s recent turnaround, scoring in five consecutive games before the visit of Man United.

The 24-year-old was magnificent once again on Tuesday evening, showing all of his ball-carrying prowess as the Hammers battled hard at London Stadium.

In a game of very few chances, Summerville registered one shot on goal, which forced Senne Lammens into a good save, as well as making one key pass.

The tricky winger also recorded 11 carries, racking up a total carry distance of 122 metres as he often helped drive Nuno’s side up the pitch.

Freddie Potts struggles vs Man United

Freddie Potts has been the breakout star for West Ham this season, coming into the team and performing while those around him have struggled.

Potts spent last term on loan at Portsmouth, but has now developed into a regular starter for the Hammers, making a real difference in the Premier League.

However, the 22-year-old looked to be out of his depth against Man United, failing to get a real foothold in the game.

He struggled to make an impact going forward, limited to very few touches on the ball with the Red Devils dominating possession.

Potts stats

Nuno may now have to give Potts a spell out of the team in order to solidify the midfield for upcoming games.
