Crysencio Summerville electric, Taty Castellanos unlucky – West Ham player ratings vs Bournemouth

West Ham United secured a point against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

Andoni Iraola’s team travelled to the London Stadium on 21 February, with Axel Disasi and Crysencio Summeville missing some brilliant opportunities to score for the Hammers early on.

Both teams were defensively resolute, and neither created many clear-cut chances over the 90 minutes, with Nuno Espirito Santo clearly focused on getting a clean sheet for most of the game.

The Portuguese manager did allow his team to go further forward and brought on Callum Wilson at around the 70th minute to break the deadlock, but the game eventually ended in a 0-0 draw.

West Ham to rely on Crysencio Summerville magic after what’s seen vs Bournemouth

If there’s one player who can drag West Ham out of the relegation zone, it surely is Summerville, who had another electric display against Bournemouth.

The Dutch national has been in fine form for the Hammers in recent weeks and was once again a creative outlet at the London Stadium.

Summerville was a constant threat to the Cherries’ defence, dribbling past players and controlling the tempo of the Irons’ play in the final third.

The East London club remain in the relegation zone, but with the 24-year-old forward, they can certainly pull off something special this season.

Taty Castellanos did everything at London Stadium

Castellanos has been a brilliant addition to the West Ham squad, with his aggression and tenacity something Nuno had been missing in E20.

The Argentine forward will feel he was unlucky not to get an assist after his brilliant pass to Summerville in the first half.

Castellanos also came close to scoring on a few occasions, with his bicycle kick in the second half one of the best opportunities of the game.

The 27-year-old can be a difference maker in the final stretch of the campaign, and supporters at the London Stadium have every reason to believe they can survive the drop with quality players at the Portuguese manager’s disposal.
