Confirmed West Ham United starting XI v Watford
West Ham United have confirmed their starting XI for the Premier League clash against Watford this afternoon.
The Irons travel to Vicarage Road to take on an Hornets side that has hardly featured in recent weeks with numerous COVID-19 postponements.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, David Moyes has made changes with the likes of Michail Antonio starting.
Having the likes of Declan Rice missing was never going to be an easy pill to swallow, but we must move on.
That suspension means that it is a real chance for those in midfield to stake their claim for more football, but it won’t be easy.
Tomas Soucek is set for more responsibility on his shoulders, mainly going forward with his driving runs into the box set to be the main force from midfield.
Must win.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Premier League top four is slipping away from us during the Christmas and New Year period.
Defeat against Southampton was the final straw, and we’re hoping that Moyes has used that as the motivation to get stuck into the squad and demand more.
Three points here are critical, and that can then be used as a catapult to start another incredible run into the New Year.
January signings could be essential, but this starting XI is bound to tell us just how many new faces we may need at the London Stadium.
