Chris Sutton shares honest Nuno Espirito Santo verdict as Man City vs West Ham prediction made
Chris Sutton can only see West Ham’s clash with Man City going one way.
West Ham are at risk of relegation this season, and in reality, games away to the likes of Man City are not going to be the ones that determine whether or not they can avoid the drop.
With that said, their lack of points so far this season makes Saturday’s encounter at the Etihad slightly more important, given the fact that they could be six points adrift of safety by the end of play, depending on results anywhere.
However, despite that increased importance, Sutton has very little faith in the Hammers taking anything away from Man City with a prediction made for the encounter.

Sutton shares what he’s noticed from West Ham under Nuno
The Hammers have managed just three wins this season, and just one away from home.
That was towards the start of the season when West Ham secured a 3-0 win away to Nottingham Forest courtesy of goals from Callum Wilson, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen.
Only Wolves have won fewer games on their travels than the Hammers this season, and Sutton doesn’t see that changing this weekend, with another defeat predicted for West Ham against Man City.
However, he has seen some signs of revival.
Via BBC Sport, he said: “It hardly helps the Hammers that all the teams immediately above them picked up at least a point last weekend while they were losing at home to Aston Villa.
“I do think their performances have improved under Nuno Espirito Santo, but they really need some points to go with that, and this is not a game where I think that is particularly likely.
“I just can’t look past City for the win, because I don’t see West Ham keeping them out.”
Sutton went on to predict a 3-1 win for City.
Nuno could move one step closer to West Ham sack
If West Ham lose, and if those around them win, they will be six points away from safety, less than halfway through the campaign.
Given the ambitions of the club, that would be totally unacceptable, and while the blame is spread far beyond just Nuno, he has to shoulder some of it.
Football is a results business, and he simply isnt getting them at West Ham.
A six-game run without a win wouldn’t be unsalvageable, but would pile more pressure on Nuno.
