Chris Sutton predicts West Ham United showdown v Brentford in FA Cup
By Darius Needham
Chris Sutton believes West Ham will get an important win in the FA Cup over two games against Brentford.
The game between a high-flying Brentford side and struggling West Ham will take place at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, 7 January in the third round of the FA Cup.
Sutton has predicted that the game will end in a 1-1 draw, meaning that a replay will be contested later down the line at the London Stadium.

The ex-Chelsea striker believes that West Ham will just have enough in them at home to get the win against Brentford in a replay fixture of the cup competition.
“It is only a few days since Brentford went to West Ham and won in the league but I am going for the Hammers to sneak past them here, although it will be close,” said Sutton on the BBC Sport website.
Will West Ham get the win?
West Ham are in need of a good result as we approach the halfway point in the season. They currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League and are only three points off the bottom.
After recently losing to Brentford at the end of December in the league, a win against a current in-form side could be exactly what the Hammers need to get their season back on track. In their last six games in all competitions, West Ham have lost four and drawn two and are in desperate need of a victory.

The Hammers will obviously want to win the fixture on Saturday and not have to rely on a replay with Brentford at some point as they have a lot of important games coming up in the league as well as in Europe.
This will be a difficult game for a currently struggling side in West Ham, however, the Irons have enough quality in their team to get a win and progress through into the fourth round of the competition and hopefully give them the confidence to turn their season around.
