Bill Leslie calls Declan Rice a delight for first-half sequence for West Ham against Leeds United
West Ham star midfielder Declan Rice wowed Sky Sport commentator Bill Leslie with his role in an attack in the first half against Leeds United on Sunday.
The England international went close to an equaliser late in the half as he ran onto a through ball and rounded Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal before hitting the side netting.
During the Sky Sports broadcast the commentator said: “The angle was too right but the run was a delight”.

Strong showing
Although David Moyes’ side as a unit were underwhelming in the first half at the London Stadium, Rice looked like he was back to his best with some surging runs through the midfield as he looked to drag his side back into contention.
After going behind early to a Jack Harrison goal the Hammers were shocked into action, eventually finding a response through the in-form Jarrod Bowen in the 34th minute.
But, playing Leeds for a second Sunday in a row, the narrative from one weekend to the other was very different.

The Irons had seen of Marcelo Bielsa’s men with relative ease in the FA Cup Third Round but were caught off guard once again as Harrison again put his side in front soon after for a 37th-minute lead.
They nearly added a third through Daniel James seconds before Mike Dean blew the half time whistle.
This was despite the visitors having lost two players to injury mid-way through the half.
A surprisingly sharp performance from the Whites belied their lowly league position, as did high-flying West Ham’s, perhaps worn out from the mid-week exertions against Norwich City in the league.
In other West Ham news, this PL target reportedly would fit into the wage structure in East London.
