‘Awful’ ‘Liability’ – Many West Ham fans react to Sebastien Haller display v Fulham

West Ham United eventually managed to beat Fulham 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

David Moyes decided to keep Said Benrahma on the bench and keep the same side as the one that featured against Liverpool.

The Irons were still without Michail Antonio, which led to Sebastien Haller leading the line at the London Stadium.

The Frenchman was heavily criticised for his performance at Anfield, as many believed he was invisible while leading the line.

Haller only completed 29% of his attempted actions in Merseyside, and clearly isn’t made for that role of the lone striker, he needs company.

It started much better against Fulham, only minutes in, Haller rose highest to meet an Aaron Cresswell cross, only to hit the bar.

That is as good as it got though, and for the remainder of the first-half especially, he once again looked far too isolated in the final third.

Many West Ham fans have reacted to the display of Haller on Saturday evening, with the majority claiming that he was “awful.”

Some did have sympathy for the forward though, claiming that he isn’t cut out for the lone role and needs a partner beside him in the future.

Moyes would be smart to listen to those fans, after all, everyone can remember the partnership between him and Luka Jovic back at Frankfurt.
