West Ham United returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion against Lincoln City on Wednesday.

The Hammers had failed to win any of their previous three in all competitions, drawing their last two in the Championship.

Those stalemates with Millwall and Queens Park Rangers saw Nuno Espirito Santo's men drop out of the top two.

But they earned a resounding 6-0 win at Sincil Bank, with the hosts having two players sent off.

Konstantinos Mavropanos, Edvin Austbo, Jarrod Bowen, and Pablo were all on target, before Tomas Soucek scored twice late on.

But one stat pointed out following the win may be causing Nuno a bit of an issue moving forward.

Is Taty Castellanos doing enough for West Ham?

Coincidentally, West Ham's last win in the Championship was also a 6-0 rout, that coming at home to Wrexham.

The Hammers have racked up a mightily impressive 29 goals in the second tier this season, the most in the division.

Indeed, they are eight clear of the second-highest scorers in Southampton, and keeping up that rate of scoring will be crucial in the ultimate aim of earning promotion back to the Premier League.

However, one slight concern is the fact that of those 29 goals scored, only five have been netted by their strikers, as detailed West Ham Central on X.

Three of those belong to Joel Piroe, who has not scored in his last four outings now, while Pablo's was his first of the season.

Castellanos only has one as well, and frankly more would have been expected of a player who cost around £25million from Lazio back in January.

He has missed four big chances in the Championship, and is averaging less than a shot on target per game.

The 28-year-old has had plenty of opportunities too, starting seven of the Hammers' nine league outings.

Nuno has to figure out striker conundrum

On the face of it, there is no issue for Nuno to solve.

And certainly as long as goals are being scored, then the question will rightly be asked who cares who scores them?

But you need your big players contributing in tighter games, or matches where you might not create as many chances.

And there has not been a great deal of confidence as yet that Castellanos will come up trumps in those moments.

Piroe is still finding his feel a little at a new club, and it does feel like he will contribute in a big way this season.

Nuno has to find a solution to get Castellanos scoring or be willing to keep sitting him on the bench if he doesn't.
