West Ham predicted XI vs Wrexham: Piroe to start as two defenders axed in three changes

West Ham United have racked up three straight Championship wins as they prepared to welcome Wrexham on Friday.

The Hammers won a see-saw contest with Bolton Wanderers 3-2 last time out, with captain Jarrod Bowen on target twice for Nuno Espirito Santo's men.

That followed victories over Wolves and Derby County, and means the Hammers are starting to bear their teeth in the second tier.

Nuno has a bit of a balancing act to consider, though, as Wrexham visit the London Stadium on Friday before they host Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Consequently, the gaffer will have to manage his resources accordingly as he will not want to pick up too many injuries in camp.

That's why here, West Ham Zone has predicted there will be three changes from the team that faced Bolton for the Wrexham game.

Nuno to mix things up in defence for West Ham vs Wrexham

Despite three wins on the spin, it is fair to say that West Ham remain a work in progress.

Right now, there is no doubt that Mads Hermansen is first-choice goalkeeper, and he will surely retain the gloves here.

However, it could be Oliver Scarles drops to the bench for this one, with Kyle Walker-Peters going to left-back and veteran Joel Veltman starting at right full-back.

In the centre, Konstantinos Mavropanos was on target in the Bolton victory and you sense he will start again here.

At some point, though, surely Morato comes into the starting XI and Nuno might do that here, with Max Kilman dropping to the bench.

Switch up in attack for West Ham

West Ham's midfield is starting to look pretty settled, though Nuno does have some options to keep things fresh.

Bowen is captain fantastic, and bar anything untoward happening in training will surely get the nod on the right flank.

Edvin Austbo deserves another over the left, which means Manor Solomon would stay on the bench.

And there seems little point of taking Arne Engels and Divine Mukasa out of the team in the centre of the park.

However, Joel Piroe could come back into the starting XI for this one, with Mohamadou Kante dropping to the bench.

Pablo might keep his spot too, especially given ongoing fitness concerns over Taty Castellanos.
