West Ham player ratings vs Fulham: Kyle Walker-Peters useless, 3/10 teammate also flops

West Ham United lost 3-2 to Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

The Hammers came back twice through Morato and Pablo after the visitors took the lead through Rodrigo Muniz and Cesar Palacios.

Nuno Espirito Santo was let down by his defence at the London Stadium, especially Kyle Walker-Peters, as Oscar Bobb came off the bench to give Fulham the lead for the third time.

While the Portuguese manager made several changes to his starting lineup, Jarrod Bowen and Taty Castellanos came on in the second half, and the Argentine striker missed a glorious chance in the 88th minute that could've taken the game to penalties.

The East London club are now out of the Carabao Cup and should focus on their prospects in the Championship.

Walker-Peters doesn't have to worry about his place in the team for now with Joel Veltman out.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka's exit in the summer left Nuno with a lack of quality at right-back and that was evident against Fulham.

The Cottagers targeted the right side of the Hammers' defence and found success.

Walker-Peters did have some decent moments in the final third, but he was arguably useless at the back.

The Englishman's main priority should be contributing at the back, but he failed to deliver and was partly culpable for Fulham's third goal after Bobb dribbled past him.

While Lewis Orford and Divine Mukasa needed to do better to support the right-back, the former Southampton defender failed to focus on his defensive duties.

Along with Walker-Peters, Max Kilman was another weak link in West Ham's back line.

The centre-back often tried to push up, leaving spaces in behind for the Cottagers to exploit.

When Bobb scored the third goal for the visitors, he not only got past Walker-Peters but also beat Kilman with his shot, with the 29-year-old defender slow to react.

While Konstantinos Mavropanos had a slight lapse in concentration towards the end, he stood out along with Morato, and Nuno should use them as the defensive duo for the upcoming games.
