Deeney wasn't pleased with what he saw from the East London club's backline, as one pass was enough for the Cottagers.
Speaking on Paramount+ on 15 September, the former Watford striker said, "This is awful defending. Wonderful ball from Andersen over the top and Palacios coming in off that left-hand side.
"That's just too easy. That's the basics of football. One ball over the top."
