In just the early stages of this season we have already learned plenty about West Ham.

Nuno Espirito Santo has certainly seen many ups and downs with the Irons finally on the right path.

Following the 6-0 demolition of Wrexham, the Irons are sitting atop of the Championship table.

It is quite the difference considering just a few weeks ago there was talk of uncertainty at London Stadium regarding the manager.

Jarrod Bowen has taken the Championship by storm.

But to any avid Hammer that will come as no surprise. Seven games into the season and Bowen has already got seven goal contributions.

With four goals and three assists, he is joint top of the combined goals and assists charts as per FotMob.

Additionally, Bowen leads the way in big chances created (eight) and chances created (23).

The influence he has shown already is player of the season terrority and he is no doubt the early leading candidate to be crowned the Championship's best player.

Bowen is finding the second tier too easy as things stand.

How Divine Mukasa is defying expectations

It was difficult to know what to expect when Divine Mukasa returned to West Ham on loan.

The Manchester City loanee left the East London club back in 2023 to join the Citizens.

However, when the Irons decided to bring him back, he had little first-team experience in his locker built over that time away.

The young Englishman had only 22 appearances in all competitions played at the senior level.

Since he has returned though, he has made himself a mainstay in Nuno's plans, scoring twice and starting in six of his seven appearances.

He has certainly defied the initial expectations, and he will only further go on to play an influential role this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo's job security is no longer the story

Just a few weeks ago, Nuno was the target of negative West Ham chants from the fanbase.

Following a 1-1 draw to Watford, the away supporters told him he was "getting sacked in the morning."

Often, when you lose the fans, it can be tough to claw your way back, but the Portuguese manager has dug in, and the ship is firmly on the right track now.

Any suggestion of sacking Nuno at this stage would be laughed at, as the Irons are exactly where they wanted to be and expected to be - top of the league table.

It is a significant positive for the E20 outfit and the squad that the sack talk is behind them.
