West Ham will be looking to extend a long-standing record against Queens Park Rangers.

A return to domestic football sees the Hammers partake in yet another London derby on Friday evening.

It comes after the Hammers faced bitter rivals Millwall in a 2-2 draw before the international break.

The Hoops will be welcomed at London Stadium on 9 October with hopes of denting West Ham's promotion push, and charging their own.

Only two points seperate the two sides ahead of kick-off.

And pressure will be on Nuno Espirito Santo to maintain a 33-year running record against QPR.

What record do West Ham hold over QPR?

The supercomputer has heavily favoured West Ham's chances, and a win for the away side will prove quite the surprise based on historical precedent.

QPR have not beaten West Ham away from home since a 4-0 win in the Premier League in August 1993.

That is a 33-year record that the Hammers hold over the fellow London side, and one that they will not want to end.

Both teams are in promotion pushing form, so it will be no easy task to get all three points.

But, West Ham's chances of going back to the Premier League seem to be higher than QPR's.

Heading into the match against the West London outfit, West Ham have scored 22 Championship goals in eight - a number that has seen every team to match or do better win the second tier that season.

QPR are part of that crop that have managed that feat back in 2010-2011 , therefore adding an interesting benchmark for Nuno's side to follow ahead of kick-off.

West Ham United vs Queens Park Rangers: How to watch, TV channel and kick-off time in Championship

How West Ham's unstoppable force will meet QPR's immovable object

When West Ham face QPR it will be a battle of whether the Hammers' flying attack can breakdown one of the Championship's toughest defences.

In the second tier, only Swansea City have conceded less goals (six) than QPR's seven.

West Ham, though, are leading the table with goals scored (22) and hopefully the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Joel Piroe can prove too much for the Hoops to deal with.

The matchup should be an intriguing one, and hopefully this time it is a strong attack that ultimately proves to be the key.
