West Ham United face Swansea next in the Championship on Saturday.

The Hammers are coming off an emphatic 6-0 win against Lincoln City and will travel to the Swansea.com Stadium on 17 October.

Kick-off in the south coast of Wales is scheduled for 3pm local time.

Nuno Espirito Santo's team are third in the Championship, and go up against the league leaders looking to cut the gap.

Vítor Matos' team have had a strong start to the season, with the Swans relying on their defensive stability.

The Hammers are still the favourites to win automatic promotion this season and can take a small step towards that with victory here.

West Ham likely result vs Swansea predicted

Jarrod Bowen overpowered Lincoln and has the qualities to do the same against Swansea.

The England international's decision to stay at London Stadium is arguably one of the biggest reasons they could win promotion to the Premier League immediately.

While the Irons will want to build on their result against Lincoln, they face a tough test in South Wales.

Opta Analyst's supercomputer has given Swansea a 37 per cent chance of winning, while the East London club stand at 36 per cent.

The possibility of a draw is 26 per cent, but it could actually be the most likely outcome, given how tight it looks.

In the last five meetings between the two teams, the Hammers have won three of them and Swansea twice.

The last draw between the Irons and the Swans came almost 11 years ago, in December 2015, when the game ended 0-0 in Wales.

Why Nuno Espirito Santo can't take false hope into Swansea game

Beating Lincoln by six goals at ProAmpac Stadium would've surely left West Ham in high spirits.

However, it could've been a much tougher game for the Hammers if the hosts hadn't lost two players to red cards in 23 minutes.

Nuno will have to be realistic about the Irons' attack, which has been inconsistent this season.

The six goals against Wrexham and Lincoln dilute the picture a bit.

Swansea have the best defensive record in the Championship so far and it will be interesting to see whether they can deliver here.

Given how the season has unfolded so far, it's hard to predict which version of Nuno's team will present itself in Wales.
