West Ham United eased to a 6-0 victory over nine-man Lincoln City in Wednesday's Championship clash at Sincil Bank.

The Hammers entered the game as overwhelming favourites, even if they had drawn back-to-back Championship matches, and that showed.

Nuno Espirito Santo made four changes from the side held 1-1 by QPR, with Joel Veltman, Mohamadou Kante, Pablo Felipe and Joel Piroe recalled.

Lincoln had Tom Hamer and Conor McGrandles sent off inside 23 minutes and, after toiling for much of the first half, Konstantinos Mavropanos headed West Ham in front just before half-time.

Half-time substitute Edvin Austbo made an instant impact and Jarrod Bowen added a quickfire third for the Irons, before Soucek added two from the bench after Pablo had also joined the scoring.

Jarrod Bowen lives up to his billing

West Ham fans need no telling, but Bowen is the best player in the Championship.

For too long in the first half, as West Ham struggled to make their two-man advantage count, that did not look the case.

In fact, Mavropanos put his teammate to shame with his fifth goal of the campaign already to open the scoring.

Bowen did assist that goal from a corner, though, and the England international scored a nice goal early in the second half.

He also claimed the assist for Soucek's goal later in the game.

Despite never getting out of second gear, Bowen added three more goal involvements to his tally for the campaign.

He also registered five key passes - including the two assists - and had another attempt on target that was kept out.

When you have two men sent off early on, Bowen is pretty much the last opposition player you want to be up against in this division.

Manor Solomon struggles again

Manor Solomon has started West Ham's two games since playing three times for Israel over the international break and has been subbed off in both.

While it is not unusual for attacking players to make way, they have both come in similar circumstances with Solomon unable to make an impact.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player did have the odd lively moment, but he had just one shot - off target - and did not make the most of the gaps in the opposition midfield and defence.

Nuno will surely be tempted to leave Solomon out against Swansea City at the weekend after six games without a goal or assist for club and country.
