Manor Solomon among three West Ham players who have a point to prove during the international break

West Ham United are set to wave goodbye to just three first-team stars to senior international sides.

It has been a largely positive start to life back in the Championship for the Hammers.

Despite an inauspicious start, Nuno Espirito Santo has managed to find a winning formula.

That has seen the East Londoners win four of their opening eight, losing just one in the second tier.

Their most recent outing was the draw away to Millwall which has now made way for the international break.

West Ham will now wait for three weeks as we round up who is departing with their nation.

Who has been called up for international break at West Ham?

There has long been a raft of names at the London Stadium featuring regularly across the globe.

That was largely due to the Premier League status and the money the Irons would spend on new talent.

Things are slightly different in the Championship as less international stars make up the side.

As a result, just three are set to join international set-up's away from E20.

Mads Hermansen is set to join up with Denmark, while Konstantinos Mavropanos is ready to feature for Greece.

Manor Solomon has been given the call with Israel ahead of their trip to face Austria, Ireland and Kosovo.

There are also several names leaving Rush Green, but will be linking up with youth age groups rather than the seniors.

Even with that, it is Solomon who Nuno will almost certainly be keeping an eye on.

Why Manor Solomon has a point to prove

There has been plenty of good to speak of in claret and blue this season.

The forward line is easily one of those plus points as it continues to cause problems for Championship defences.

Solomon is playing a role in that, but his output could do with some improvement.

He has two goals and two assists to his name in the Championship, but two of those came in the 6-0 win against Wrexham.

That means five of his eight appearances haven't featured any goal involvements, which isn't truly good enough for a player of his quality, especially in arguably the best team in the division.

Nuno will be keeping an eye on his work with Israel to see if the goals start to flow ahead of his return to East London.
