West Ham United are one of the most successful football clubs in the history of the English game.

From starting as Thames Ironworks FC in 1895, the Hammers have gone on to win a few FA Cups and made a name in world football with European trophies.

The Irons have won seven major titles in their history, making them the joint-16th in all-time honours in English football.

West Ham FA Cup victories

West Ham won their first-ever major trophy in 1964, when they beat Preston North End 3-1 in the final.

The Hammers went on to lift the title twice more, arguably what can be considered their golden generation with Billy Bonds and Trevor Brooking, winning the competition in 1975 and 1980.

European trophies won

After lifting their first major title in 1964, the Irons went on to make a name for themselves in Europe, winning the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1965.

West Ham then went on to achieve success in the Intertoto Cup in 1999, where they beat Metz in the final.

David Moyes then made history in 2023 by winning the UEFA Conference League title, ending the Hammers’ long trophy drought.

West Ham beat Fiorentina in 2023 Conference League final

West Ham United ended their trophy drought in style as they beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the Conference League final in Prague.

In what was an exciting end to the game for the Hammers’ fans, Jarrod Bowen scored a 90th-minute winner after Said Benrahma and Giacomo Bonaventura had found the back of the net in the second half.

West Ham have also won the FA Charity Shield, sharing the trophy after a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in 1964.
