West Ham v Arsenal injury news: Doctor shares if Nayef Aguerd to be ruled out

While West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd may be fatigued, he is expected to be ready for the Arsenal game on 11 February, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has assessed the Moroccan defender’s recent schedule with him out on international duty at the AFCON.

However, he returned to the Hammers side and played the full 90 minutes against Manchester United on 4 February.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

He’s gone on international duty and only came back recently.

His playing the full 90 minutes against Manchester United is an indicator of his fitness levels being high.

I wouldn’t say there is no fatigue from the AFCON as the change of weather along with the matches being played every three days can take a toll but likely to be ready for the Arsenal game.

I’d even say he’s in good enough fitness to play the full 90 minutes.

Aguerd to leave West Ham soon?

It’s understood that Aguerd’s facing an uncertain future at the London Stadium due to the lack of clarity in his commitment to the club.

This season, his performances have also dipped considerably and David Moyes will not be overly pleased by how things have unfolded.

West Ham

Hopefully, he has a good game against Arsenal and the Hammers are more organised defensively in comparison to the Manchester United clash.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes is now concerned over the temperament of a first-team regular and may decide to axe him after a recent transfer development.
