West Ham United v Brentford: Pundit predicts result amid Ivan Toney form

Frank McAvennie has predicted the result of West Ham v Brentford when the two sides meet on Monday, 26 February.

Despite losing three games in a row, he sees the Hammers being able to turn things around against the Bees.

However, striker Ivan Toney is expected to be among the goals and continue his form since his return from a ban.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, McAvennie, the former Hammers striker said:

“I can see West Ham winning. I’ll put money on Ivan Toney scoring at least once. Ivan Toney will be having a party all weekend knowing he’ll be playing against that defence. Because they’ve been awful. He’s got something to prove.”

David Moyes may be sacked if United lose

The Irons must secure a victory against Brentford to halt their downward spiral and for David Moyes to keep his job.

Enduring three consecutive losses without scoring a single goal, they’ve plummeted in the standings, with mounting pressure mounting on Moyes.

Facing Brentford, who sit just six points clear of the relegation zone, the Hammers must overcome defensive vulnerabilities that led to conceding 11 goals in their last three matches.

David Moyes has had a mixed season at West Ham

Brentford, historically dominant against the Hammers in the Premier League, pose a significant challenge and are not going to be pushovers.

In other West Ham news, a manager with a 69 per cent Europa League win record is eyed to replace David Moyes at the London Stadium.
