West Ham United transfer update as Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres medical claim drops
Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres, who scored for Spain v Albania at the EUROs, is expected to clear his West Ham medical ahead of a potential transfer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite a Grade 2 hamstring setback during the 2023/24 season, he appears to have recovered from it.
This comes after Mundo Deportivo reported on 17 June that the Hammers want to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“Torres had a hamstring injury this past season that saw him missing six weeks of action.
“He was back and relatively fit for the rest of his campaign.
“Six weeks is typically a Grade 2 hamstring tear but wouldn’t expect that to impact his medical.
“Regarding his re-adapting to the conditions in England, it may take some time but the fact that he’s played for Manchester City will play to his advantage.”
Ferran Torres will be a shrewd addition for West Ham
Torres could be a great signing for the Hammers due to his versatility and experience.
At just 24, he has already played for top clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City, gaining valuable experience in different leagues.
Torres’ ability to play across the front line, as a winger or a forward, makes him a valuable asset for any team.

His technical skills and goal-scoring ability could significantly enhance the Hammers’ attacking options and Julen Lopetegui would love to have him on board.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to secure the transfer of a player who’s set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this month.
