West Ham United keeper Alphonse Aroela update emerges after injury v Manchester City

West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola will not be missing any games due to his back injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that despite coming off at the break against Manchester City over the weekend, his injury does appear to be minor.

Daily Mail’s Kathyrn Batte reported on 2 September that he has been called up to the France setup and the injury is not deemed to be serious.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham ZoneBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

Areola’s back injury does seem relatively minor and should not keep him out.

I don’t have much more information on it so can’t comment on any specific diagnoses.

The fact that he’s been called up for the national team would suggest that it’s nothing to worry about.

Alphonse Areola has been brilliant for the Hammers

Areola made a stunning save against the Citizens which left former Manchester United keeper Ben Foster blown away.

He’s undoubtedly among the star players at the London Stadium and hopefully, he has another good season for the Hammers.

It remains to be seen how many clean sheets he keeps and whether Julen Lopetegui manages to make the side more robust in defence.
