West Ham United injury news: Doctor issues Emerson update
West Ham may be careful with Emerson behind the scenes after his recent groin injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert admits that while the Italian may not have suffered a serious setback, it is always advisable to air on the side of caution.
The 29-year-old started and played 84 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on 17 March.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “Groin injuries can be quite serious but given the time he was out, it suggests that it was not too bad.
“They were monitoring him regularly and he even played most of the game over the weekend.
“They still will be methodical behind the scenes but it is not really anything to worry about given how quickly he returned.”
