West Ham United defender Konstantinos Mavropanos injury update emerges v Luton

West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos may not be back in time for the Luton Town game, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that his availability depends on how he’s trained on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is 7 and 8 May, ahead of the Premier League clash on Saturday, 11 May.

If he responds well to the sessions and is training at the same intensity as the rest of his teammates without feeling any discomfort, then he could be in the squad at the London Stadium.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

“If he responds well to training, then I reckon he would be available.

It’s essential how he trained on Tuesday and Wednesday and if it was at the same intensity as the rest of his teammates.

The doubts over him being fit and available for the game would be if he has some discomfort or doesn’t look up to playing level then it becomes more of a risk/reward scenario.”

West Ham may wait on Konstantinos Mavropanos’ fitness levels

The 26-year-old has made 18 Premier League appearances this season, 15 of them which have been from the starting eleven.

He’s even found the back of the net once and has offered much-needed aerial prowess to David Moyes’ side.

It remains to be seen if Moyes puts him straight back into the eleven should he be available for the weekend game.
